Submit Your Proposal Today for the 34th Street Sustainability Mural Contest

Are you a graffiti or mural artist? Are you an Alachua County High School Student?

Submit your design today to participate in the 34th Street Wall Sustainability Mural Contest!

Proposals and murals will be judged by a panel of experts on artistry, potential impact and the incorporation of the following objectives of the European Union’s Environmental Action Programme 2020:

  • to protect the natural world
  • to recycle and reuse materials
  • to help ensure clean air and clean energy

Five mural drawings will be selected to be painted on the wall and participants will receive all necessary supplies to complete their murals. All five muralists will receive full-color posters of their artwork. The top three winners will receive prizes (1st place – $200, 2nd place – $100, 3rd place – $50)

Contest Timeline:

Proposal deadline: Friday, April 7th, 2017 at midnight
Top five contestants will be notified: Monday, April 10th
Mural painting on 34th Street: Saturday, April 15th at 10am
Top 3 winners will be notified: Saturday, April 22nd
